  12. This is a font for fans of Roger Dean, the illustrator behind most covers
  13. of Yes albums, much of the Psygnosis artwork (you might recall the logo and
  14. the illustrations for epic games like Shadow of the Beast) and much more.

  16. It's "inspired" by the logo on the two ABWH album covers (ABWH being short
  17. for Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe: four of the five members of the best
  18. Yes line-up ever -- only Chris Squire is missing).

  20. I found it on the Net (I'd like to know who the author is!) and converted
  21. it to Intellifont format, after some fixes. Being a structured font, it's
  22. monochromatic. That means that at first it might look quite dull... with
  23. some shading it looks impressive, though. You can use programs like
  24. LightWalker or FontMachine to achieve great results. Take a look at the
  25. original covers to see what I mean:

  30. Oh, of course I think it'd be a great idea to buy the albums (expecially
  31. 'An evening of YES music plus') if you don't have them already.

  33. Installation is dead easy: run Intellifont (AmigaOS3.x) or Fountain (AmigaOS
  34. 2.1), pick the directory where ABWH.type is, select the font from the list
  35. and click on the install gadget.

  37. Sushiware policy: if you like or use any Sushiware products, you're strongly
  38. advised to go eat at a Japanese restaurant and enjoy some sushi. While you're
  39. there, it'd be a good idea to sip some 'sake' as well. If you don't like raw
  40. fish, offer it to your best friend (or another person of your choice). If you
  41. can't find a Japanese restaurant in your town, or you don't have any friends
  42. or know any people who like it or are worth being offered it, well then as a
  43. last resort send me a postcard. Don't forget to include the word 'sushi' in
  44. your message!

  55. Questo e' un font per i fan di Roger Dean, l'illustratore autore delle
  56. copertine di molti dischi degli Yes, della grafica della Psygnosis
  57. (ricorderete sicuramente il logo della software house e le sue illustrazioni
  58. per giochi epici come Shadow of the Beast) e molto altro ancora.

  60. Si "ispira" al logo presente sulle copertine dei due dischi di ABWH
  61. (abbreviazione di Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe: quattro dei cinque membri
  62. della miglior formazione degli Yes di tutti i tempi -- manca solo Chris
  63. Squire).

  65. L'ho trovato in rete (mi piacerebbe sapere chi e' l'autore!) e quindi l'ho
  66. riaggiustato e convertito in formato Intellifont. Trattandosi di un font
  67. vettoriale, e' monocromatico. Cio' significa che all'inizio potra' sembrare
  68. poco accattivante... ma con qualche sfumatura di colore e qualche
  69. ombreggiatura si possono raggiungere ottimi risultati. Date una occhiata
  70. alle copertine originali per farvi un'idea di quello che dico:

  75. Ah, naturalmente a mio parere sarebbe una grande idea comprare gli album
  76. (soprattutto 'An evening of YES music plus') nel caso non li possediate gia'.

  78. L'installazione e' elementare: lanciare Intellifont (AmigaOS3.x) o Fountain
  79. (AmigaOS2.1), dare al programma il percorso in cui si trova il file
  80. ABWH.type, selezionarlo e farlo aggiungere alla lista dei font di sistema
  81. mediante l'apposito gadget.

  83. Distribuzione Sushiware: se usate frequentemente prodotti Sushiware, siete
  84. invitati a gustare del sushi in un ristorante giapponese. Non sarebbe una
  85. cattiva idea prendere anche del sake', visto che ci si trova. Nel caso non
  86. vi piaccia il pesce crudo, offritelo al vostro migliore amico (o amica, o
  87. altra persona a vostra scelta). Nel caso non vi siano ristoranti giapponesi
  88. nella vostra citta' o non abbiate amici o non conosciate alcuna persona a
  89. cui piaccia o a cui valga la pena offrirlo, beh, come ultimo tentativo
  90. speditemi una cartolina. Non dimenticate la parola 'sushi' nel vostro
  91. messaggio!
